Indoor connectivity expands in healthcare
In a September 3, 2026 article, INWIT said it had installed Distributed Antenna Systems at more than 800 sites in Italy, including more than 180 hospitals and clinics. The systems provide indoor 4G and 5G connectivity for more than 60,000 hospital beds.
The company also described a project at Maria Cecilia Hospital in Cotignola, Ravenna. INWIT said the installation uses a network of around 80 micro-antennas to provide coverage throughout the facility.
