UK's leading pub company, with a portfolio of over 9,300 leased, tenanted and managed pubs across the UK. The Company owns and operates a substantial estate of pubs.
 
Within the estate, around 1,100 outlets are managed pubs and the remainder are leased and tenanted. The leased estate comprises pubs which are leased to individuals who run them as their own businesses. Within the terms of this arrangement, the leaseholders have the freedom to develop and run their business in their own way.
 
The Company?s pub portfolio covers a broad range of sectors: Basic local, Mid-market local, City local, Upmarket local, Premium dining, Value dining, Chameleon, Circuit, Venue and others. The majority, around 75% - are good, local community pubs, but the estate also includes, for example, music and sport focussed venues, destination dining pubs with high quality food offers and a number of specialist ethnic restaurants.
 
The company was established in 1997 when the original Punch Taverns portfolio was acquired from the Bass Lease Company.
 
Punch Taverns floated on the London Stock Exchange in May 2002.]]>
