Sivers Semiconductors Gains Ahead of Pivotal October Vote
Published on 10/06/2026 at 10:41 | Editorial boerse-global.deShares of Sivers Semiconductors advanced 3.5% on Tuesday to trade at EUR 3.15, extending a run that has lifted the Swedish chipmaker 8.1% since a leadership shake-up roughly a week ago. No company-specific catalyst was identified for the latest move, though the stock continues to trade against a backdrop thick with regulatory filings and strategic repositioning.
The most recent session follows Monday's 4.8% climb, which carried the shares to a close of EUR 3.05. Market participants saw no direct link between that gain and a fresh disclosure from Sweden's financial supervisory authority, which on Friday revealed that US asset manager Two Sigma Investments LP had crossed the 0.5% reporting threshold in net short positions. The firm's stake had previously sat below that level. With the new entry, media reports put the tally of registered net short positions in the stock at three.
Attention now turns to Stockholm, where an extraordinary general meeting has been scheduled for October 22, 2026. Shareholders will be asked to sign off on two significant items, with proxy voting available for those unable to attend in person.
Auditor swap tied to US ambitions
Chief among the resolutions is a proposal to replace Deloitte AB with Ernst & Young AB as the company's auditor. Management has framed the switch as groundwork for a planned secondary listing in the United States, targeted for the first half of 2027.

Also on the agenda is an employee options program covering up to 7,280,000 options, together with the authorizations needed to issue the underlying shares. The plan would dilute existing holders by roughly 2.0% and is designed to lock in key personnel through the company's next phase of growth.
Wireless and Photonics units get new leadership
The governance measures come alongside a broader reshuffling of Sivers' technology divisions. Marc Pegulu has taken charge of the Wireless business as managing director, while Harish Krishnaswamy, who previously led that unit, has moved into the chief strategy officer role.
Changes are underway in the Photonics segment as well. David Clark will join as vice president of engineering on October 31, 2026, with incumbent technology chief Andrew McKee staying on through the end of the year to smooth the transition before retiring.
For investors, the October shareholder meeting stands as the next major date on the corporate calendar, with the implementation of the growth initiatives and the path toward a US listing both hinging on the votes cast that day.
