The FDA took action against Punjab Grill in Navi Mumbai following reports of cockroach infestations and a failure to maintain proper records. At the Lalit Ashok, officials reportedly seized 76 kilograms of meat, 200 kilograms of vegetables, and 32 liters of milk. Other seizures included 105 kilograms of food products at Radisson Blu, 72 kilograms at Taj Yeshwantpur, 19 kilograms at the Four Seasons, and 15 kilograms at the Shangri-La. Regulators noted findings of fungal growth on vegetables and the presence of expired dairy products, subsequently sending 35 samples for laboratory analysis.

In a separate long-term oversight report, Indian Railways disclosed that it has imposed fines totaling ?5.13 crore over the last three years for food quality violations.
