Shareholders of Precore Gold have solidified the company's governance framework, paving the way for its next operational chapter. During the Annual General Meeting held this past Monday, a new board of directors was elected and the auditor was formally reappointed, providing a stable foundation for the current fiscal year. This move shifts the immediate focus squarely to executing the firm's exploration strategy.

A Renewed Board of Directors

The newly constituted leadership team comprises five members: Paul A. Dumas, Michael Dake, Claude Charron, R. Nick Horsley, and Louis Gariepy. Christopher Huggins, who had served on the board since 2021, did not stand for re-election, choosing to pursue other interests. In a separate but related vote, shareholders also confirmed Manning Elliott LLP as the company's independent auditor for the coming term.

Operational Momentum in Quebec

A key question now is whether the fresh leadership will accelerate development of recent acquisitions. The groundwork was laid in early February when Precore Gold finalized the full acquisition of the "Lac Big-Rush Gold Property." This land package is located in the Chibougamau mining district of Quebec and consists of 49 claims spanning 2,712 hectares. Coordinating initial exploration campaigns for this significant asset is a primary task for the incoming board.

Dual-Project Strategy and ESG Commitment

The company's strategic outlook for the remainder of 2026 continues to hinge on advancing projects in politically stable jurisdictions. While expanding its Canadian footprint, Precore Gold maintains its commitment to the Arikepay project in Peru as a core strategic asset. Management has highlighted that strict adherence to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards remains an operational priority across all its activities.
