But for CEO Edward Yew, the focus is firmly on what lies ahead, not what's been lost. The company is gearing up to finalize its 2026 exploration plans during the week starting May 4, armed with fresh capital and a streamlined corporate structure.

Fresh Capital, Strategic Deployment

The financial groundwork was laid in early April when Highland closed a non-brokered flow-through private placement, raising C$400,000. The company issued 1.6 million flow-through shares at C$0.25 each — a 25% premium to the current trading price of C$0.10 on the Canadian Securities Exchange. That premium suggests investors are betting on a turnaround, even as the stock trades roughly 82% below its 200-day moving average.
