Gold Mountain has announced significant developments at its Capivara rare earth project in Brazil, marked by promising drilling results and a notable show of confidence from its leadership. The dual news highlights progress in both corporate governance and exploration potential.

Leadership Demonstrates Commitment Through Equity Conversion

In a move signaling internal confidence, Gold Mountain has increased its share capital through the conversion of performance rights. A total of 10 million new shares were issued. Notably, Director David Andrew Evans elected to convert his entire allotment of 10 million rights, substantially increasing his direct stake in the company. Such actions by insiders are frequently interpreted by the market as a strong endorsement of the firm's strategic direction and future prospects.

High-Grade Drill Results Point to Promising Deposit Type

Concurrently, the company's exploration program at the Capivara area, part of the broader 'Down Under' project, has yielded encouraging data. Recent auger drilling has intersected consistent, high-grade rare earth mineralisation. Assays revealed an eight-meter section averaging 1,397 parts per million (ppm) Total Rare Earth Oxides (TREO), with a valuable 42% proportion of magnetic rare earth oxides (MREO). Peak results were even more impressive, showing grades of up to 2,166 ppm TREO with an MREO content of 50%.

Geological data suggests the potential for an ionic adsorption clay (IAC) deposit. This type of resource is particularly attractive to the industry because mineralisation typically begins at or near the surface, which could lead to lower-cost extraction methods. With the depth extent of the mineralisation still open, the area is considered to hold considerable development upside.

Advancing Toward Project Definition

To better define the potential at depth, Gold Mountain is now preparing for a diamond core drilling campaign. This work will proceed alongside ongoing metallurgical testing and the advancement of necessary environmental permitting processes. These technical studies are essential precursors to conclusively demonstrating the economic viability of the Brazilian resource holdings.

The combination of strengthened insider ownership and robust early-stage results positions Gold Mountain to advance its Capivara project to the next phase of development.
