Shareholders of Barrick Gold Corporation are set to receive a substantially larger payout. The global gold and copper miner has more than doubled its quarterly dividend, a move directly tied to a revised capital return policy and a period of exceptional financial performance.

Revised Payout Policy Takes Effect

Under a new distribution framework introduced in early February, Barrick has linked its shareholder returns more closely to its free cash flow generation. The first application of this policy results in a quarterly dividend of $0.42 per share, payable on March 16 to shareholders of record as of February 27. This marks a significant increase from the previous quarterly distribution of $0.18 per share.

Record Quarterly Performance Provides Foundation

This enhanced return to investors follows an outstanding operational and financial finish to 2025. The company reported record operating cash flow of $2.73 billion for the fourth quarter, with free cash flow reaching $1.62 billion in the same three-month period.

For the full 2025 year, Barrick’s gold production totaled 3.26 million ounces, meeting its own guidance. Looking ahead, the company has set its 2026 production target in a range between 2.90 and 3.25 million ounces.
