Lenacapavir access agreements
In a September 15, 2026 release, Gilead Sciences said it had agreed with the Pan American Health Organization to accelerate access to twice-yearly lenacapavir for HIV prevention across PAHO member states in Latin America and the Caribbean. The company said the arrangement provides a new access pathway for 14 countries outside its voluntary licensing agreements.
In a separate September 16, 2026 release, Gilead Sciences said it had expanded six royalty-free voluntary licensing agreements to cover investigational once-yearly lenacapavir for HIV prevention. The agreements cover 120 high-incidence countries and are intended to support manufacturing readiness, technology transfer and future supply planning while the Phase 3 PURPOSE 365 trial continues. The company said the once-yearly formulation has not been approved by any regulatory authority.
