- Third-quarter revenue and organic bookings advanced strongly, led by commercial HVAC demand.
- Management raised its 2026 revenue outlook while retaining its adjusted earnings forecast.
- Investors are watching backlog conversion, regional margins and fourth-quarter execution.
Trane Technologies stock remained in focus on Wednesday, November 4, after the company’s strong third-quarter performance on October 29 and a higher full-year revenue outlook. The results and guidance were presented in the Morningstar report carrying the Business Wire release.
Strong orders support the outlook
Revenue for the quarter ended September 30 rose 18 percent year over year to 6.76 billion US dollars, while organic revenue increased 16 percent. Organic bookings gained 20 percent, and the book-to-bill ratio reached 107 percent across the company.
Backlog climbed 73 percent to 12.5 billion US dollars. Americas Commercial HVAC backlog increased approximately 80 percent, reinforcing the importance of commercial demand and the company’s ability to convert orders into future revenue.
Revenue guidance moves higher
Trane Technologies now expects full-year 2026 reported revenue growth of approximately 13.5 percent and organic revenue growth of approximately 11 percent. Adjusted continuing earnings guidance remains 15.20 to 15.30 US dollars per share, while GAAP continuing earnings guidance stands at approximately 15.00 to 15.10 US dollars.
The earnings release also showed adjusted continuing earnings per share of 4.86 US dollars for the third quarter, up 25 percent year over year. Regional execution remains important: Americas margins improved, while EMEA and Asia Pacific margins declined from the prior year.
