SKF is moving toward a two-company structure as its automotive business builds the SKF Vertevo identity and the industrial business reports stronger profitability. A report published by AD HOC NEWS on Friday, November 6, said the latest developments add operational support to the planned separation.

SKF's third-quarter report, published on October 21, covered continuing operations after Automotive was classified as discontinued operations. Continuing-operations sales rose to SEK 17.467 billion from SEK 16.562 billion a year earlier, while organic growth increased to 4.3% from 3.7%.

Margins and savings improve the setup

Adjusted operating profit advanced to SEK 2.845 billion from SEK 2.553 billion, and the adjusted operating margin widened to 16.3% from 15.4%. Specialized Industrial Solutions delivered 8.3% organic sales growth, while Bearing Solutions grew 2.8%.

Operating cash flow increased to SEK 2.076 billion from SEK 1.780 billion. SKF said rightsizing savings of approximately SEK 350 million in the quarter more than offset negative separation-related synergies. The company also brought forward its target for an annual savings run rate of approximately SEK 2 billion to mid-2027 from the end of 2027 previously communicated.

Vertevo sets the next dates

SKF's Automotive business unveiled the SKF Vertevo brand on Tuesday, November 3, with a new visual identity, website and social-media presence. The move is intended to establish the unit as a standalone automotive supplier before its planned listing on Nasdaq Stockholm.

Shareholders approved the distribution and listing at an extraordinary general meeting on October 1. SKF expects November 25 to be the final trading day with entitlement to the distribution, November 27 to be the record date and December 1 to be the first trading day for SKF Vertevo, subject to the final timetable. The Capital Markets Day in Stockholm is scheduled for Tuesday, November 17.

SKF stock traded at 24.61 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 17:42 CET on Friday, November 6, 2026. The real-time quote of SKF stock provides the latest market indication.
