- SKF Vertevo has launched its standalone brand ahead of the planned separation from SKF.
- SKF's industrial business posted stronger organic growth and a wider adjusted operating margin in the third quarter.
- Investors face further milestones with the Vertevo Capital Markets Day and planned share distribution ahead.
SKF is moving closer to a two-company structure after its automotive business unveiled the SKF Vertevo brand on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. The launch is a visible step in the separation ahead of the planned listing of SKF Vertevo on Nasdaq Stockholm, according to a SKF press release.
SKF Vertevo introduced a new visual identity, website and social-media presence as it prepares to operate as a standalone automotive supplier. CEO Kerstin Enochsson said the brand launch was about more than visual identity and would define what customers and other stakeholders could expect from the company. The move gives the automotive operation a clearer market profile while leaving SKF focused on its industrial activities.
Industrial results provide operational support
SKF's third-quarter report, published on October 21, covered continuing operations after Automotive was classified as discontinued operations. Continuing-operations sales rose to SEK 17.467 billion from SEK 16.562 billion a year earlier, while organic growth increased to 4.3% from 3.7%.
Adjusted operating profit advanced to SEK 2.845 billion from SEK 2.553 billion, and the adjusted operating margin widened to 16.3% from 15.4%. Specialized Industrial Solutions was a key contributor, with organic sales growth of 8.3%, while Bearing Solutions grew 2.8%. Operating cash flow also increased to SEK 2.076 billion from SEK 1.780 billion.
SKF said rightsizing savings of approximately SEK 350 million in the quarter more than offset negative separation-related synergies. Management brought forward its target of an annual savings run rate of approximately SEK 2 billion to mid-2027 from the end of 2027 previously communicated. For the fourth quarter, SKF expects organic sales in continuing operations to strengthen somewhat year over year, although it continues to highlight high market volatility.
Separation sets the next milestones
Shareholders approved the distribution and listing of SKF Vertevo at an extraordinary general meeting on October 1. The planned transaction uses a Lex Asea distribution, with SKF shareholders expected to receive shares in Vertevo. SKF expects November 25 to be the final trading day with entitlement to the distribution, November 27 to be the record date and December 1 to be the first trading day for SKF Vertevo, subject to the final timetable.
The next major investor event is the SKF Vertevo Capital Markets Day in Stockholm on November 17. SKF says the event will outline the automotive business's market position, strategy and roadmap as a standalone company. The planned separation is strategically important for investors because the industrial and automotive businesses face different end markets and operating drivers.
SKF stock traded at 24.56 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 11:33 CET on Friday, November 6, 2026. Investors can follow the real-time quote of SKF stock for the latest market indication.
SKF's industrial outlook will remain tied to demand in areas including data-center infrastructure, aerospace, energy and other industrial markets. The separation adds a second driver for shareholders as the timetable for the automotive distribution and listing advances.
