- Nestlé maintained its 2026 organic-growth target of 3% to 4% and expects free cash flow above CHF 9 billion.
- Russia's deconsolidation will affect reported sales, underlying trading operating profit and free cash flow from the fourth quarter.
- The company expects more detail on the 2027 margin outlook with its full-year results.
Nestlé kept its 2026 outlook after its Russian operations left group consolidation at the end of September, according to the company's third-quarter and nine-month sales release published on October 22. The company said the reporting change will affect reported figures from the fourth quarter, but will have only a limited effect on underlying 2026 results.
What Has Changed Since The Last Report
Nestle stock traded at EUR 93.74 on Lang & Schwarz at 6:13:51 p.m. CET on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, 0.67 percent above the Xetra close of EUR 93.12 on Wednesday. That quote is 2.15 percent above the EUR 91.77 Lang & Schwarz quote in the previous report published on November 3, a separate comparison from the Xetra daily move.
Nestlé said it no longer controls management of the Russian business after its placement under temporary external administration. The group remains the legal owner of the assets. Russia had been excluded from organic-growth figures since 2022, so the change does not affect organic growth, real internal growth or pricing.
Guidance Remains In Place
Management continues to target 3% to 4% organic growth for 2026, with real internal growth expected to accelerate from 2025. The underlying trading operating profit margin is still expected to improve from the prior year, while second-half margin performance should be broadly similar to the first half, excluding tariff refunds. Free cash flow is expected to exceed CHF 9 billion.
The deconsolidation will change reported sales, underlying trading operating profit and free cash flow from the fourth quarter. Nestlé expects group net debt to be CHF 0.9 billion higher at the end of 2026. Management also said the Russia business represented about 2% of group sales and 3% to 4% of underlying trading operating profit and free cash flow on an annualized basis.
Growth Momentum And Next Steps
Nestlé reported third-quarter organic growth of 4.0%, including real internal growth of 2.8% and pricing of 1.1%. The company highlighted broad-based improvement across regions and categories, while noting that more work remains in nutrition and in parts of the core portfolio.
The company has agreed to sell its mainstream vitamins, minerals and supplements business to Yellow Wood Partners for USD 1.0 billion. The transaction remains subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close by the first half of 2027. Nestlé plans to provide more detail on the 2027 margin outlook with its full-year results, scheduled for February 18, 2027.
