Mutares stock trades at €25.95 after first-half 2026 revenue rose to €3.4 billion and adjusted EBITDA turned to €67 million. The latest reset in regulation and a €7.9 billion to €9.1 billion full-year revenue guide keep the turnaround case active.

Mutares stock (DE000A0Z23Y2) closed at €25.95 on August 29, 2026, up 1.2 percent for the session and still below its 200-day average of €28.75. First-half 2026 revenue reached €3.4 billion, adjusted EBITDA turned to €67 million, and full-year revenue guidance stands at €7.9 billion to €9.1 billion.

Regulatory closure

The latest market hook is a regulatory one. BaFin has concluded its review of the 2023 annual financial statements, and the company said the remaining issue was a missing note on the residual maturities of receivables from affiliated companies.

That matters because the stock has also been carrying a valuation gap. Shares were still 26 percent below the January peak of €35.15 and down 14 percent for 2026, even after the half-year operating swing improved by more than €150 million year over year.

Half-year swing

The first-half 2026 numbers show why the market is still debating the turnaround. Revenue rose from €3.1 billion a year earlier to €3.4 billion, while adjusted EBITDA moved from minus €89 million to plus €67 million.

At the same time, the holding-level net result was only €6 million, down from €70 million in the prior-year period, even as gross exit proceeds were guided to exceed last year's roughly €230 million. That mix leaves investors focused on how quickly portfolio gains can show up in statutory earnings.

Deal flow continues

The company has also kept moving on transactions. It recently closed the acquisition of SABIC's engineering thermoplastics business, a $450 million enterprise-value deal that is the largest in Mutares' history and now operates as NexPoint Materials.

That unit contributes around €2.0 billion in annual sales and about 2,800 employees across eight sites. A separate acquisition of Car Top Systems added roughly €75 million in revenue to the automotive portfolio, while the planned Free2move deal remains in regulatory review.

Representative product

One representative business line is NexPoint Materials, the former SABIC engineering thermoplastics operation. It gives Mutares a larger industrial platform with a reported €2.0 billion sales base and a footprint across eight sites.

Stock level

At €25.95, Mutares stock remains below the 200-day average of €28.75 and well under the January high of €35.15 as of August 29, 2026.
