Aviva said it supports Ofcom’s proposals for tougher action against online insurance fraud. Aviva also said its ghost-broker cease-and-desist notices had doubled and website takedowns had increased more than eight times compared with 2025. Owen Morris, chief executive of UK Personal Lines at Aviva, called for deeper intelligence sharing among insurers, platforms, regulators and law enforcement, the release said.
