OnePlus 13R 256GB combines a 6.78-inch display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, and 6,000 mAh battery in a phone aimed below flagship pricing. The US version launched on January 14, 2025, with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

US Configuration and Hardware

The US model is sold in one memory configuration: 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The configuration leaves out the 128GB capacity offered with the previous OnePlus 12R.

The official North American specifications list a 6.78-inch display with 2,780 by 1,264 pixels, a 1-120Hz dynamic refresh rate, and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 mobile platform. The phone measures 161.72mm high, 75.77mm wide, and 8.02mm thick, with a listed weight of 206g.

Battery Camera and Software

OnePlus lists a 6,000 mAh single-cell battery and OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15. The specification sheet also identifies 80W SUPERVOOC wired charging, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, USB-C, and 5G connectivity.

The rear camera system combines a 50MP main camera, a 50MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultrawide camera. That telephoto sensor changes the hardware mix from the OnePlus 12R, which used a 2MP macro camera instead.

Price and Market Position

The US launch price was $599.99 (as of 01/14/2025). OnePlus announced the phone for US sales through its website and retail partners, while the 128GB version was not part of the American lineup.

Compared with the OnePlus 12R, the 13R keeps the predecessor's US launch price for the 256GB tier but adds a larger battery, a newer processor, and a telephoto camera. The tradeoff is the removal of the lower-capacity 128GB option, which had launched at $499 for the 12R.

Who the 13R Fits

The OnePlus 13R fits buyers who want a large high-refresh-rate display, substantial storage, and a flagship-class Qualcomm processor without moving to the highest phone price tier. Its 256GB capacity also gives the US model more built-in storage than the discontinued 128GB OnePlus 12R configuration.

The phone's 206g weight, 6.78-inch screen, and lack of a 128GB option define its limits. It is a better match for users who value battery capacity, gaming performance, and storage than for buyers seeking a compact phone or the lowest entry price.
