EXIT Das Spiel brings an escape-room format to the table, and KOSMOS says each box is built for 1 to 4 players and a one-time playthrough.
What KOSMOS Puts In The Box
KOSMOS describes the series as a home escape-room game with levels for beginners, advanced players, and experts, plus play times listed by title on its series page.
The company also says the games are produced in Germany, use mostly paper and cardboard, and can be recycled through household waste after play.
How The Series Plays
The product page says the game material is meant to be folded, written on, and cut during play, which is why each title works only once. The same page also notes that replacement pieces are not offered as full sets.
On the manufacturer site, EXIT is presented as a broad line of escape-room games, and the series page highlights titles with different age ranges and session lengths, including 45-90 minutes on several entries.
Context For U.S. Buyers
The nearest U.S. reference point is Thames & Kosmos, the English-language arm linked from the manufacturer site for EXIT games in the United States. That places the line in the board-game aisle rather than the app aisle or the puzzle book aisle.
A practical comparison is the series split on KOSMOS' own page: beginner titles, advanced titles, and expert titles are separated by age guidance and play-time ranges, so the label on the box matters more than the series name alone.
Where It Fits Best
EXIT Das Spiel suits players who want a short, cooperative puzzle box instead of a repeated-play strategy game. The one-time format and the paper-and-cardboard build make it a fit for a single session, not a long shelf rotation.
