The National Mall hosts the Dwight D. Eisenhower Commemorative Birthday Concert at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial in Washington, D.C., on 14 October 2026. The programme gives travellers a fixed autumn date for a concert within the capital's principal memorial district.
Eisenhower concert marks a birthday at the memorial
The Trust for the National Mall lists the concert for 14 October 2026 and describes it as a sunset performance by the US Army Band Brass Quintet. It commemorates the birthday of President and General Dwight D. Eisenhower at his memorial, placing a military music programme directly beside one of the capital's newer commemorative sites.
The organiser's event listing for 14 October gives the performance date and identifies the memorial as the venue. It lists the event in the calendar of upcoming programmes maintained by the Trust for the National Mall, which works with the National Park Service to preserve and activate the site.
The memorial adds a modern chapter to the Mall landscape
The Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial is part of the National Mall and Memorial Parks, the National Park Service unit that includes the capital's central collection of monuments and memorials. The NPS describes the park system as more than a dozen units containing more than 100 unique monuments and memorials.
The park's best-known central axis extends for 2 miles from the Lincoln Memorial to the US Capitol. That geography gives the 14 October concert a specific setting: it is not a general Washington performance, but a programme attached to a named memorial inside the wider civic landscape. The NPS describes the park system as a place for remembrance, commemoration and public programmes.
