Billboard summit pairs Weezer’s award with a live Q&A
The Billboard Live Music Summit returns to Los Angeles on 10 November 2026, with Weezer among the honourees. According to Billboard’s summit feature, Weezer will receive the Legends of Live Award and join a conversation about the group’s touring career.
Jason Lipshutz, Billboard’s co-chief content officer, will lead the discussion. The Los Angeles gathering combines industry conversations, networking and celebration, while the band’s award and Q&A connect its current arena work with a programme devoted to live music.
Weezer’s alternative rock catalogue meets a live honour
Weezer are an American alternative rock band from Los Angeles with a current line-up of Rivers Cuomo, Patrick Wilson, Brian Bell and Scott Shriner. Billboard describes the group’s catalogue as alternative rock anthems performed on stages around the world.
The latest self-titled album, Weezer, is available on vinyl and CD through Reprise and Warner Records, as detailed by the album release details. That record gives the current arena cycle a fresh set of material alongside the established catalogue discussed at the summit.
The Gathering World Tour frames the award programme
The Gathering World Tour is the name of Weezer’s current arena cycle. The summit brings that touring band into a programme built around live music rather than a standard concert listing.
The event’s two Weezer elements are scheduled for Los Angeles on 10 November 2026. The award recognises the band’s touring career, while the Lipshutz conversation will address its continuing work on the road.
