Stevie Wonder takes Songs In The Key of Life to Hannover
The programme places Songs In The Key of Life at the centre of the 24 October 2026 concert, with the album presented in full. WDR 4 lists Hannover and Cologne as the German stops and identifies the engagement as a 50th-anniversary celebration. Further details of the German dates appear on the WDR 4 event page.
The show is part of an international run titled Songs In The Key of Life Performances - 50th Anniversary Tour, which uses the album as its organising idea. Rolling Stone’s German dates also identify the ZAG Arena performance and the complete-album format.
Stevie Wonder builds Hannover show around a full album
The album remains central to the event because its anniversary is the organising theme of the tour. Rolling Stone notes that it earned a Grammy for Album of the Year, reached diamond status in the United States and entered the Library of Congress National Recording Registry.
WDR 4 names Sir Duke, As and Isn’t She Lovely among the songs associated with the programme. The setting connects Wonder’s soul and R&B work with a full-album concert format rather than a single-song celebration.
Cologne follows Hannover on Stevie Wonder’s German route
A second German performance is scheduled for 26 October 2026, when Stevie Wonder plays the Lanxess Arena in Cologne. The Cologne date belongs to the same tour and carries the same complete-album concept.
The two German stops place the anniversary programme in both northern and western Germany. Hannover comes first on 24 October 2026, followed by Cologne on 26 October 2026.
