sombr’s Sound City single arrives in orchestral form
The release is presented as a single containing one track. Its title identifies the recording as an orchestral version from Sound City, rather than a new standalone song.

How the new single fits sombr’s New York songwriting
sombr is a New York City singer-songwriter whose sound brings together alt-pop and glam rock. His catalogue is built around self-written songs and a solo performance identity.
The debut album I Barely Know Her provides the full-length frame for songs including back to friends, undressed, 12 to 12, Homewrecker and Potential. The orchestral release adds a different arrangement to that established catalogue without changing the single’s central song title.
The one-track release carries an SMB Music credit
The Sound City wording places the recording within a named studio setting while the parenthetical description specifies its orchestral treatment. The release therefore combines a familiar song title with a clearly defined new version.
Its concise single format keeps the focus on one recording. Alongside the digital release, the official listing shows a 7-inch edition, giving the release a physical format as well.
