Robbie Williams is the Album Icon for National Album Day, which takes place on 17 October 2026 as the reissue of Sing When You’re Winning arrives in a limited vinyl edition. The role connects the day’s album programme with a new physical edition from his solo catalogue.
Robbie Williams gives National Album Day its album focus
National Album Day sets its 2026 edition around the theme Icons and holds the programme on Saturday, 17 October 2026. Activities run through UK record shops and online retailers, with BBC Radio 2 and BBC Sounds supporting the celebration.
The organisers list Robbie Williams among the Album Champions in their National Album Day update. The day is organised jointly by the BPI and ERA, bringing record labels, retailers and digital music services into the programme.
The reissue brings a third solo album to vinyl
Universal Music Recordings and Island Records are reissuing Williams’ third studio album as a limited-edition 2LP red and blue vinyl set. The edition includes Rock DJ, Supreme and Kids with Kylie Minogue, while the records play at 45 RPM.
The release is the album’s first vinyl reissue and its first appearance on coloured vinyl. Music Week details the 2LP edition alongside the Album Icon announcement.
His chart record frames the Album Icon role
The Album Icon title places Williams in a programme devoted to albums while one of his own records receives a new physical format. The combination links an album-focused national event with a release from his solo catalogue.
National Album Day credits him with 18 BRIT Awards and 16 UK No.1 albums. Those figures sit alongside the event’s emphasis on artists whose recordings have shaped popular music.
