Provinz announced the Cry Baby Cry tour on 5 October 2026, setting out German, Austrian and Swiss arena dates for winter 2027. The announcement also placed the band’s new single at the centre of its next live programme.
Cry Baby Cry tour sets out 2027 arena dates
The 5 October announcement says the winter 2027 run begins on 12 November in Hannover. Swiss Life Hall hosts the opening date, followed by German stops in Leipzig, Münster, Trier, Munich, Nuremberg, Ravensburg, Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Cologne, Hamburg and Berlin.
The promoter’s tour listing describes 14 stops across Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The German dates place the band in arenas and large halls, extending the live cycle around Cry Baby Cry into the following year.
Provinz carry indie-pop roots into a new sound
The official band profile identifies Vincent Waizenegger, Robin Schmid, Moritz Bösing and Leon Sennewald as the four members. The band began in a small town in Upper Swabia and later moved together from southern Germany to Hamburg.
Their music brings Britpop, indie and rock elements together with acoustic instruments and synthesizers. Their third album Pazifik reached number one in the German album charts, linking the new tour to a recent high point in the band’s recorded work.
The single gives the tour its musical direction
Cry Baby Cry gives the tour its name and introduces a more strongly British, nostalgic sound while retaining the group’s indie-pop foundation. The song deals with closeness and loneliness, pain and euphoria, and the search for love.
The accompanying video was filmed in Blackpool, England. Using the single’s name for the tour ties those new musical colours directly to the live programme planned for 2027.
