Pink Floyd’s Meddle edition arrives for National Album Day
The release gives Meddle a new physical presentation, centred on an orange marble vinyl pressing. The album title, format, date and Sony Music connection appear together in the band’s official announcement.
National Album Day’s programme places Meddle among a broad selection of special editions arriving on 17 October. The event’s 2026 release list identifies Pink Floyd alongside other established album artists.
Pink Floyd and the album’s place in the catalogue
Meddle is described by Pink Floyd as the band’s sixth studio album. Its October edition therefore revisits a substantial album in the group’s catalogue rather than presenting a newly recorded studio work.
The official description also connects the album with a period of recording and writing experiments. That detail gives the San Tropez Orange Marble format a clear link to Pink Floyd’s album-focused identity and its history of carefully constructed rock records.
Pink Floyd pair Meddle with restored Echoes footage
The 17 October release is accompanied by a separate audiovisual presentation. Pink Floyd’s YouTube channel will premiere a newly restored high-resolution 4K version of the Echoes sequence from the surf film Crystal Voyager.
The film material extends the release beyond the physical record while keeping the focus on the same musical work. The official announcement identifies Echoes as the album’s signature track and links its imagery to the band’s wider visual presentation.
