Phil Collins enters the Performer category as a solo artist
Phil Collins is a British singer, songwriter, drummer and producer whose career includes work with Genesis and a substantial solo catalogue. His music has brought together vocal performance, songwriting and drumming across those two strands of his career.
The honour recognises Collins as a solo artist while also placing his Genesis membership within the wider story of his work. His official biography records both parts of that identity and states that he is joining the Hall as a solo artist.
