Norah Jones links Playing Along to Record Store Day
Universal Music lists the release for 27 November 2026, with Blue Note as its label and vinyl as its format. The product listing describes it as an exclusive Record Store Day edition on transparent red vinyl.
Universal Music Canada’s release announcement also names 27 November 2026 and connects the album with the Norah Jones Is Playing Along podcast. The announcement presents the record as a collection of songs from the programme’s collaborative sessions.
Norah Jones brings podcast collaborations to the LP
The album grows out of a format that combines conversation with spontaneous musical collaboration. Jones appears as singer, songwriter and pianist, while the project gives those studio encounters a physical release.
Guests named for the collection include Joshua Homme, Jason Isbell, Josh Groban, Lucius, Meshell Ndegeocello, Ron Carter and Bill Frisell. The release therefore connects Jones’s podcast work with a varied group of musicians rather than presenting a conventional solo studio album.
Playing Along, Volume 2 carries a broad guest list
The announced tracklist includes Somethin’ Stupid, Woman, Morning And Allison, Don’t Forget, Just What I Needed and The Nearness of You.
It also includes The Price Of The Ticket, Foxes In The Snow, Listen To Her Heart, No One Noticed, All I Have To Do Is Dream and We’ve Come Too Far To Turn Around. The titles cover original material, collaborations and familiar songs represented in the podcast sessions.
