Mariah Carey’s Glitter deluxe edition arrives on 30 October
Universal Music Canada’s announcement sets 30 October 2026 as the release day. The expanded digital edition adds 15 tracks, including rare and previously unreleased recordings from Carey’s archive.
The release also brings Glitter back to streaming platforms. Its digital expansion places newly available material alongside the original album rather than presenting a separate collection of unrelated songs.
Mariah Carey’s soundtrack shows its pop and R&B range
Glitter is Carey’s eighth studio album and also serves as the soundtrack to a musical drama. Its sound combines dance-pop, funk, hip-hop and R&B, giving the anniversary release a broad musical palette.
The album includes Loverboy, Never Too Far and Don’t Stop (Funkin’ 4 Jamaica). uDiscover Music describes the anniversary edition as a return to streaming with additional archive material and new perspectives on the record.
Mariah Carey pairs the digital release with vinyl formats
Alongside the digital edition, Glitter returns in two 2LP presentations. The standard version uses Midnight Purple vinyl, while a deluxe version uses Glittering Pink vinyl and includes three bonus tracks.
Those bonus recordings are Out Here On My Own, Never Too Far/Hero (Medley) and Loverboy (Firecracker - Original Version). The format choices connect the expanded digital release with a physical presentation built around the album’s anniversary.
