Kontra K will release the orchestral album Porzellan on 18 December 2026. The project grows from his Channel Aid performances in Hamburg and adds a classical frame to his German hip-hop catalogue.
Kontra K’s Porzellan brings Hamburg performances to record
The release is presented as an album with orchestra, rather than only a digital single. It combines newly recorded and older material with classical instrumentation and guest appearances. The release details list CD, double LP, Blu-ray and a release date of 18 December 2026.
The record is tied to the Channel Aid concerts at Hamburg’s Deutsches Schauspielhaus. Kontra K performed rearranged versions of songs there with an orchestra, while the programme also introduced material connected with the album. Eventim’s album and tour details describe Porzellan as the counterpart to the harder direction of Aus der Asche.
Kontra K sets Porzellan beside Aus der Asche
The Berlin rapper works across hip-hop and orchestral settings in the two projects. Porzellan keeps a connection to NESS through the title track, while the wider programme includes rearranged versions of established songs and new pieces. The result connects the Hamburg stage production with a physical album.
The companion project Aus der Asche is scheduled for release on 12 March 2027. Its announced arena dates fall in October and November 2027 across Germany, Austria and Switzerland. This places Porzellan before the next large-scale live cycle in Kontra K’s current plans.
Kontra K’s 2027 arena route starts in Oberhausen
The act’s 2027 tour dates cover Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The first listed German date is 19 October 2027 at Rudolf Weber-Arena in Oberhausen, followed by further German venues and dates in November.
The release and the arena programme therefore mark two connected directions: orchestral reinterpretation on 18 December 2026, then a new studio album and live cycle in 2027. For German listeners, Oberhausen is the earliest listed domestic stop in that later run.
