KISS box set brings archival material to 6 November
The set will arrive in two super deluxe configurations: six LPs with Blu-ray Audio, and four CDs with Blu-ray Audio. Both editions will contain 130 tracks, including 100 previously unreleased tracks and mixes. The official KISS website presents the collection as an anniversary edition alongside related album material.
Producer and engineer Eddie Kramer has created a new mix, while the original album has been remastered. The Blu-ray Audio component will carry Dolby Atmos and 5.1 presentations of the original and new mixes, alongside high-resolution stereo versions. Further release details include a hardback book with more than 100 pages, photographs, liner notes by Ken Sharp and interviews with Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Peter Criss and Kramer.
Rock And Roll Over connects studio craft with live archives
The release centres on KISS’s fifth studio album and broadens it with archival material. Its design combines a revised presentation of the record with demos, outtakes, alternate mixes and concert recordings from Japan.
The collection also includes instrumental material and live performances, giving the box set a wider musical scope than a standard remaster.
