Get Ready ties John Legend to a new Peanuts soundtrack
Milan Records released Get Ready on 4 November 2026 as a new original holiday song written for the Peanuts production. The label presents it as the lead single from the Apple Original Soundtrack, with vocals and piano from Legend. The Milan Records announcement also identifies Raphael Saadiq as producer.
The track combines a jazz-pop frame with big-band brass, while the full soundtrack adds an original score by Jeff Morrow. The music programme also includes contributions from Kamasi Washington, Leon Bridges and Laufey. The special and soundtrack arrive on Apple TV on 13 November 2026.
John Legend brings R&B craft to Get Ready
The release fits a catalogue built around R&B, soul, gospel and pop, with piano often central to Legend’s recorded work. The Recording Academy’s Grammy biography identifies him as a singer-songwriter and pianist from Springfield, Ohio. His debut album Get Lifted brought the first major chapter of that career to a wide audience.
His album list includes Once Again, Evolver, Wake Up! with The Roots, Love in the Future and Darkness and Light. Later titles such as A Legendary Christmas, Bigger Love, LEGEND and My Favorite Dream move between soul, pop and seasonal music. That range places Get Ready within an established holiday strand of his work.
Get Ready leads a wider holiday music programme
The song appears in the newly released trailer, giving it a direct role in the special rather than a separate tie-in. The soundtrack pairs Legend’s contribution with Jeff Morrow’s score and further songs by the named artists.
Apple TV’s 13 November 2026 programme brings the single, the full soundtrack and the Peanuts story together on one date. Get Ready therefore serves both as a standalone release and as the musical introduction to the special.
