Corona Capital puts Gorillaz on the Friday programme
Corona Capital’s 2026 edition runs from 20 to 22 November at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City. The event’s festival listing names Mexican promoter OCESA and places Gorillaz among more than five dozen acts across multiple stages. That page identifies Gorillaz as a headliner for the 16th edition’s Friday night.
Friday’s programme also includes Mumford & Sons, Daniel Caesar, James Blake and The Kooks. Front Gate says Gorillaz close the night after those performances. The band’s official tour dates list Corona Capital for 20 November 2026 in Mexico City.
The November date sits inside a Latin American run
The wider calendar places the festival appearance among further Latin American dates. After the festival, the band play Lima on 23 November 2026 and Córdoba on 26 November 2026. They then play Buenos Aires on 28 November 2026.
The same schedule lists another festival appearance in Buenos Aires on 28 November 2026. That run continues in Asunción on 1 December 2026, Santiago on 4 December 2026 and São Paulo on 6 December 2026. The official calendar also lists a later Mexico date in Zapopan on 9 December 2026.
Mexico City festival adds a broad Friday line-up
Front Gate presents Corona Capital as OCESA’s flagship festival in Mexico. The 2026 edition uses three days and multiple stages, with more than five dozen acts on the bill. Gorillaz share the headline tier with The Strokes and Twenty One Pilots.
The festival’s Friday bill places the band alongside Mumford & Sons, Daniel Caesar, James Blake and The Kooks. The programme also includes CHVRCHES, CMAT, Yung Lean and other acts. Together, the two listings place Gorillaz’s Mexico City date at the intersection of a tour stop and a festival headline slot.
