Gorillaz headline Corona Capital in Mexico City on 20 November 2026. The festival appearance brings the virtual alternative rock project to the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez for the opening day of the three-day event.
Corona Capital gives Gorillaz a Mexico City date
The act’s official tour listing names Corona Capital 2026 alongside the 20 November date and Mexico City location. The listing places the appearance within Gorillaz’s continuing international live run.
Festival details give the venue as the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez and set the event from 20 to 22 November 2026. Gorillaz close the Friday programme, while the festival’s other headline acts are Twenty One Pilots and The Strokes.
Why Gorillaz’s virtual format fits Corona Capital
Gorillaz are a virtual alternative rock project created by musician Damon Albarn and artist Jamie Hewlett in London. The animated identity centres on four fictional members, while the music combines alternative rock with hip-hop, electronic and world-music elements.
A profile of the project describes the group’s blend of trip-hop, hip-hop and lo-fi indie rock. That mixture gives the Mexico City booking a live setting for Gorillaz’s album-led, collaborative approach rather than a conventional single-genre rock bill.
Corona Capital places Gorillaz among a three-day bill
The Friday programme also includes Mumford & Sons, Daniel Caesar, James Blake and The Kooks, alongside further acts across the festival’s stages. The wider bill connects the Mexico City date with alternative rock, pop, electronic music and R&B.
The date appears within The Mountain Tour listings. The same schedule places the next dated stop in Lima on 23 November 2026, followed by Córdoba on 26 November and Buenos Aires on 28 November.
