Sony Music sets the release details for The Faith Tour
George Michael Entertainment and Sony Music Entertainment will release the album worldwide on that date. The Sony Music Canada announcement confirms vinyl editions, a CD, a picture disc and a deluxe box set. The album contains previously unreleased live performances.
The recordings come from the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy stop on the European leg of his solo concert tour. The release presents that concert as an archival performance rather than a newly recorded studio project. George Michael Entertainment remains credited alongside Sony Music Entertainment for the release.
The Faith Tour connects George Michael’s solo and WHAM! catalogue
The album draws on material associated with both sides of George Michael’s career. Songs from Faith sit alongside WHAM! selections including Everything She Wants and I’m Your Man. The Official Charts release page also lists performances of Stevie Wonder’s Love’s In Need Of Love Today and LaBelle’s Lady Marmalade.
The standard edition contains 18 tracks, while the standalone 2LP edition has 16. Across the announced formats, the project brings solo recordings, WHAM! material and selected covers together in one concert document.
George Michael’s catalogue frames the archival live set
George Michael’s solo work combined pop with soul, R&B and rock, a blend reflected in the repertoire gathered here. The album’s centre is Faith, whose songs supply several of the live performances. The wider catalogue also includes Careless Whisper, Freedom ’90 and Father Figure.
The move from WHAM! material to solo recordings also shapes the collection. Sony’s format list extends from a 2CD to a deluxe set with a 136-page book of previously unseen tour images, giving the release both an audio focus and a substantial physical edition.
