Garth Brooks releases Double Live on vinyl on 6 November 2026, giving the country singer’s landmark concert recording its first official vinyl edition. The two-record package contains 25 live tracks and will appear with several cover designs tied to different retail versions.
Double Live reaches vinyl as a 25-track package
The announcement on the act’s website says the edition will be the first time Double Live appears on vinyl. Details are set out in the official announcement. The package places the 25-track programme across two vinyl albums, preserving the album’s concert scale in a physical format.
Several covers are planned, including a general release design and additional versions linked to individual retailers. Some configurations also use coloured vinyl, making the packaging part of the release’s identity rather than a minor variation. BroadwayWorld confirms that the tracklist spans two records in a limited-time vinyl release.
Garth Brooks carries Oklahoma country into a live catalogue
Garth Brooks is an American country singer-songwriter from Tulsa, Oklahoma, whose work combines country songwriting with large-scale concert performance. His Country Music Hall of Fame profile describes the arena dynamics that helped define his musical identity.
That background fits Double Live more closely than a routine studio reissue, because the record is built around the exchange between stage and audience. The new vinyl format places a concert document at the centre of the singer’s physical catalogue. Rather than adding new songs, it changes how an established live work is collected and heard.
The release also sits alongside the Blame It All On My Roots Tour, linking Brooks’s touring identity with a live title from his catalogue. The connection is direct: the same artist is presenting a concert recording in a new format while continuing to build his public work around arenas. Double Live thus functions as both a record of performance and a differentiated physical release.
The retailer versions separate the vinyl packages
The general vinyl version is not the only configuration named in the announcement. Walmart will also offer Double Double Live, a separate holiday package containing two vinyl albums and two CDs. It commemorates Brooks’s Central Park concert through its packaging, while remaining distinct from the standard Double Live vinyl release. The difference matters for collectors because the contents and presentation are not identical across the named versions.
