Eagles give Please Come Home for Christmas its first 12-inch edition
The edition gives the recording its first 12-inch appearance. Rhino describes the format as the song’s first 12-inch edition in its release announcement. The pressing uses 180-gram ultra-clear vinyl and is tied to Record Store Day’s Black Friday event.
The single pairs the Eagles recording with its original B-side, Funky New Year. A UK listing for the edition names Elektra and Rhino and repeats 27 November 2026 in its UK edition details.
Eagles connect the single to their country-rock catalogue
Eagles are an American rock band formed in Los Angeles and associated with country-rock, album rock and soft rock. Their early musical identity grew from the work of Don Henley, Glenn Frey, Bernie Leadon and Randy Meisner with Linda Ronstadt’s backing band.
The catalogue includes Eagles, Desperado, Hotel California, The Long Run, Hell Freezes Over and Long Road Out of Eden, as listed in the band’s band biography. The Christmas single draws on that catalogue’s blend of rock, country and vocal harmony. Rhino also reports that the recording has received a four-times-platinum certification from the RIAA.
Eagles continue their Sphere residency into January
The vinyl release arrives while the band’s Las Vegas residency continues at Sphere. The same schedule places Eagles at the venue on 27 November 2026, alongside performances on 13, 14 and 28 November 2026.
Further listed dates fall on 4, 5, 11 and 12 December 2026, followed by 15, 16, 22 and 23 January 2027. The release and the residency therefore give the holiday single a place within the group’s current live programme.
