Duran Duran released the first physical edition of the remix album Free To Love: Hot Star Remixes on 30 October 2026. The CD and vinyl package reworks the band’s Nile Rodgers collaboration and adds new versions by the group.
Free To Love: Hot Star Remixes came in three editions
Physical copies of Free To Love: Hot Star Remixes formed the release on 30 October 2026. The band’s official 30 October listing names the CD, standard 12-inch vinyl and special-edition vinyl. Physical-format details describe the package as the first remix album Duran Duran have made available on vinyl and CD.
The CD brings together the remixes already issued digitally, the original single and two new reworkings by the band. The standard vinyl also carries the remix collection and those new versions. The special edition combines a 12-inch record with a 7-inch format.
Duran Duran’s remix project extends its synth-pop identity
Duran Duran emerged from Birmingham’s New Romantic scene and built its identity around synth-pop, pop songwriting and dance rhythms. The current four-piece line-up is Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes, John Taylor and Roger Taylor.
The project keeps Nile Rodgers connected to the band’s current creative work through the original Free To Love single. It then places that collaboration inside a physical remix release, rather than presenting the album only as a digital collection.
The new versions give the release its own track identity
The two band-made additions are Love Overture and Across the Galaxy. They sit alongside remixes by artists including Trixie Mattel, Harrison, BastienkHz, Horse Meat Disco, ALISSIA, Biff Chitlins and DJ White Shadow.
The packaging also carries a visual link to the band: the editions use metallic-ink treatments and an original cover photograph by Nick Rhodes. The physical presentation therefore combines the remix programme with material created within Duran Duran’s own circle.
