Duran Duran will release physical editions of Free To Love: Hot Star Remixes on 30 October 2026, marking the band’s first remix album on vinyl and CD. The collection expands the group’s current dance-pop project with new versions and three distinct physical editions.
Duran Duran’s physical editions add new versions and deluxe formats
The physical-edition announcement sets 30 October 2026 as the release day and identifies three formats. The standard CD brings together the remixes released digitally so far, the original single and two new versions from the band.
The standard 12-inch vinyl also carries the original remixes alongside Love Overture and Across the Galaxy. The deluxe package combines 12-inch and 7-inch vinyl, while the CD and standard vinyl include an eight-page booklet featuring images by Nick Rhodes.
Duran Duran’s Birmingham roots meet a danceable new-wave sound
Duran Duran emerged from Birmingham and developed a sound built around synthesised pop, new wave and dance-rock. The band’s official timeline traces the formation of the core group around Nick Rhodes and John Taylor before Simon Le Bon and Roger Taylor joined the established line-up.
A background profile describes the band’s style as danceable, synthesised pop with strong new-wave roots. That combination remains audible in the release’s link between an electronic club sensibility, band-made reworkings and a physical collection designed around the group’s visual identity.
Duran Duran connect the release with a London Halloween show
The physical collection arrives shortly before Duran Duran play The O2 in London on 31 October 2026. The date forms part of the band’s UK and European arena tour, giving the release a live setting in the same weekend.
The London date and the release are presented together in the latest release details. The new collection is built around Free To Love, a track featuring Nile Rodgers, and includes two fresh band versions within the physical formats.
