The release is a black 180g double LP on UMR, giving the band’s final studio album a new physical edition.
Dire Straits On Every Street returns on black vinyl
The 17 October 2026 release is listed among the UK National Album Day reissues for the month. An October release listing places On Every Street: 35th Anniversary alongside catalogue editions by other established rock acts. This makes the date a coordinated physical release rather than a newly recorded Dire Straits album.
The edition is presented as a black 180g double LP with a half-speed master. UMR is identified as the label in the retailer’s format details, which also give 17 October 2026 as the release day. The date places the anniversary pressing inside the autumn record-release calendar.
Dire Straits and the album behind the reissue
The release listing classifies the act under rock and pop, while the band’s official Dire Straits website presents its catalogue through a discography and timeline. That catalogue places On Every Street among the band’s studio records and identifies it as the final studio album.
Adding the 35th-anniversary edition to the National Album Day programme connects the title’s catalogue status with a new physical presentation. The release therefore links one of the band’s established album titles to a specific UK event date, while retaining the original work’s title.
