Western space grunge meets Kings of Leon’s 2027 bill
Dexter and The Moonrocks are based in Throckmorton, Texas, and the current quartet comprises James Tuffs, Ryan Anderson, Ty Anderson and Ryan Fox. Tuffs handles lead vocals and guitar, while the Anderson cousins play guitar and bass and Fox plays drums.
The band describes its sound as Western space grunge, a blend of country-rooted writing and grunge-informed rock.
