Stand Up for Heroes brings Bruce Springsteen to David Geffen Hall
Stand Up for Heroes is presented by the Bob Woodruff Foundation and the New York Comedy Festival. A Lincoln Center listing places the performance in the Wu Tsai Theater at David Geffen Hall.
The event forms part of the New York Comedy Festival, which runs from 6 to 15 November 2026 in New York. The announcement of the anniversary bill also names The Resilient and Alex Warren for musical performances, alongside comedy sets from Josh Johnson, Hasan Minhaj and Jon Stewart.
Bruce Springsteen’s New Jersey roots shape a rock catalogue
Bruce Springsteen is an American singer, songwriter and bandleader from Long Branch, New Jersey. His music draws on rock, folk and heartland rock, while his long association with the E Street Band has shaped his best-known live and recorded work.
The catalogue includes Born to Run, Darkness on the Edge of Town, The River, Nebraska and Born in the U.S.A. A Britannica’s account of his career places those records within a body of work rooted in New Jersey and American rock traditions.
Music and comedy share the Stand Up for Heroes programme
The New York event combines live music with comedy and a programme honouring veterans and their families. Springsteen’s appearance therefore sits within a mixed bill rather than a standard solo concert, with the event’s organisers bringing several forms of performance to the same stage.
David Geffen Hall gives the programme a concert-hall setting at Lincoln Center. The venue lists its address as 10 Lincoln Center Plaza, New York, NY 10023, while the event listing places the performance in the Wu Tsai Theater.
