ANOTR’s Out of My Head brings strings into a house release
Apple Music lists Out of My Head as a one-song ANOTR single, with a running time of 3 minutes 18 seconds. The release carries the credit ? 2026 No Art.
Electronic Groove describes the arrangement in its feature on the single. Its account identifies a disco-funk guitar riff, layered vocal parts and a soulful house groove influenced by early 2000s dance music. The production also uses live strings recorded by a nine-piece ensemble of violinists and cellists.
ANOTR links its new single to a wider club vocabulary
ANOTR are an Amsterdam duo whose work sits between house and dance music. The new track follows Withness, which Electronic Groove identifies as the pair’s third studio album.
That placement connects the single to the duo’s broader catalogue while keeping the arrangement focused on club-oriented movement. Instead of treating the guitar, vocals and strings as separate ornaments, the track brings them into one groove-led format.
ANOTR built the track around guitar, vocals and strings
The writing began during a songwriting retreat at the duo’s studio house in the Dutch countryside, Electronic Groove says. That setting is reflected in the blend of electronic rhythm, guitar texture and live ensemble playing.
The result is a compact single rather than a multi-track release, with Apple Music listing one song and a 3:18 duration. The combination places Out of My Head alongside dance music while preserving the duo’s emphasis on live texture.
