Alicia Keys presents the seven-track Lovers Rose project
The announcement came in Vogue Italia’s November cover story, published on 26 October 2026. The feature identifies Lovers Rose as Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz’s first album together, while describing it as a seven-track project. Vogue Italia’s cover story carries those details.
Complex describes the music as drawing on R&B, Chicano soul, Latin musical traditions and lowrider culture. The project is expected in early 2027, according to Complex’s album summary.
Alicia Keys connects New York piano roots with new R&B
Keys is a New York-born singer, songwriter and pianist whose music combines R&B, soul and piano-led songwriting. Her debut album, Songs In A Minor, introduced the voice and keyboard style that remain central to her public musical identity. The GRAMMY artist profile lists 17 wins and records the album’s Billboard 200 success.
The new collaboration extends that profile through a shared production with Swizz Beatz. It links her established R&B language to Chicano soul, Latin traditions and lowrider culture, giving the project a specific musical frame rather than presenting it as a standard solo release.
Alicia Keys places Lovers Rose beside her debut
The announcement keeps Keys’s piano-led identity in view while widening the palette around it. Her first album established the blend of R&B, soul and keyboard writing associated with her catalogue, whereas Lovers Rose adds Chicano soul, Latin traditions and lowrider culture.
That combination gives the project a clear place in her musical story. It retains the singer’s core relationship with R&B while making the collaboration with Swizz Beatz central to the album’s identity.
