Alicia Keys announced the album Lovers Rose with Swizz Beatz on 26 October 2026, presenting it as their first joint album. The seven-track project is expected in 2027 and draws on R&B, Chicano soul and Latin musical traditions.
Lovers Rose marks Alicia Keys’ first joint project
The announcement appeared in the Vogue Italia interview dated 26 October 2026. The album was introduced as the pair’s first record together.
The interview places Alicia Keys alongside producer Swizz Beatz on a seven-track project, rather than presenting Lovers Rose as a solo release. That distinction extends Keys’ piano-led R&B identity into a shared album format.
Alicia Keys built her sound around piano and R&B
The Recording Academy’s Alicia Keys profile identifies her as a New York-born singer, songwriter and pianist. Her debut, Songs in A Minor, established a blend of R&B, soul, hip-hop and jazz.
That album brought five Grammy wins, including Best New Artist and Song of the Year. Her piano remains the connecting thread between that solo foundation and the collaborative design of Lovers Rose.
Seven tracks give Lovers Rose a broad musical palette
Seven tracks give Lovers Rose a compact format, while the stated palette reaches beyond a single R&B label. Chicano soul and Latin musical traditions sit alongside lowrider culture in the album’s description.
AllHipHop says Keys’ team expects the project in early 2027 and describes it as a sonic installation. The collaboration therefore links a seven-track record to a wider visual and cultural frame.
