Behind this technical correction lies an operationally stabilized company. Uniper concluded the 2025 fiscal year with revenue of approximately €61 billion and an adjusted net income of €544 million. The jump in earnings per share to €2.00 in the fourth quarter is particularly telling, highlighting a marked recovery from the loss-making period a year earlier.

Key Price Levels Under Scrutiny

During XETRA trading on Thursday, the share came under pressure, touching a daily low of €40.05. This continues the consolidation phase that began after the stock hit its 52-week high of €48.20 in mid-March. Market participants are evidently using the current price level to lock in gains, given that the share's value had nearly doubled since its low in November 2025. Despite the recent setback, the stock remains significantly higher for the year to date.

The planned dividend of €0.72 per share raises a key question: is it sufficient to maintain the confidence of long-term investors amid the current share price weakness? Analysts are already looking ahead to the ongoing 2026 fiscal year. They anticipate a further increase in the payout to around €0.88, provided the company achieves its forecasted earnings per share of €1.40. This potential progression could make the stock appealing to income-focused investors once more, following an extended restructuring period.

On May 12, the company will release its figures for the first quarter of 2026, which will offer insight into its current operational momentum.
