A significant milestone has been reached for TNR Gold Corp., moving the company closer to generating its first revenues from lithium. Project operator Ganfeng Lithium has successfully completed the inaugural export of lithium chloride from the Mariana project in Argentina. This development validates the operational phase of the asset and signals a potential inflection point for TNR Gold’s royalty-based business model.

Operational Validation and Logistics

The initial pilot shipment consisted of 240 tonnes of high-purity lithium chloride. This cargo was transported in ten containers from the processing facility in General Güemes, located in the Salta province. A combined logistics chain utilizing both rail and truck transport from the Llullaillaco salt flat was executed as planned. This successful end-to-end process confirms the functionality of the extraction technology in a real-world commercial setting and marks the project's transition toward full-scale marketing operations.

Financial Implications and Strategic Positioning

TNR Gold holds a 1.5% net smelter return (NSR) royalty on the Mariana project, with a 0.15% portion of this royalty managed on behalf of a separate shareholder. The company’s strategic focus has been on building a portfolio of royalties in green energy metals, and this export represents tangible progress. With lithium prices showing signs of recovery, the economics for scaling up production at Mariana have improved, directly benefiting the royalty holder.

The established export infrastructure allows partner Ganfeng Lithium to now concentrate on ramping up production volumes. For TNR Gold, this event executes a planned corporate evolution into a cash-flow generating entity.
