Star Copper Secures Funding for Major Exploration Drive

Star Copper's oversubscribed private placement raises CAD $7.3 million to fund advanced drilling and geophysics at its flagship Star project in British Columbia's Golden Triangle.

Star Copper has successfully bolstered its financial position, securing the necessary capital to advance its exploration portfolio in British Columbia. The company's recent private placement attracted such significant investor demand that the offering size was increased, providing a solid foundation for an ambitious drilling campaign scheduled for 2026.

Capital Raise Exceeds Expectations

The financing, which closed on March 11, will provide gross proceeds of approximately 7.3 million Canadian dollars to the company. This was achieved through the issuance of more than 6.8 million Flow-Through shares at a price of 1.25 Canadian dollars each. These specialized shares are structured to direct the invested capital directly into the exploration of critical minerals within Canada.

In recent trading, the company's shares have shown modest strength. Closing at 0.73 euros on Friday, the equity has gained roughly eight percent over a 30-day period, despite remaining down by over six percent since the start of the calendar year.

Strategic Focus on Key Projects

The newly acquired funds are earmarked primarily for the flagship "Star" project. Plans for 2026 outline an extensive program that extends well beyond standard drilling operations. Management intends to deploy advanced 3D geophysics and geological modeling techniques alongside deeper testing of high-priority targets, aiming to map the extent of mineral deposits with greater precision.

The company's agenda also includes further work on the Indata project. Here, the objective is to build upon historical discoveries of copper and gold. Planned activities consist of additional drilling and surface sampling designed to better define mineralized zones and enhance on-site infrastructure.

This successful capital infusion grants Star Copper crucial operational certainty for the next two years. The immediate focus shifts to technical preparations and the analysis of geophysical data. This groundwork is considered essential for maximizing the efficiency of the planned 2026 drilling activities within the prolific "Golden Triangle" region.
