Refined Energy is refining its exploration approach at the Dufferin-West project within Canada's Athabasca Basin. The company's strategy now incorporates recently interpreted gravity survey data, aiming to pinpoint drilling targets with greater accuracy. This methodological shift is designed to enhance the success rate of its ongoing drill campaign by creating a more detailed structural map of the subsurface.

Market Response and Strategic Context

The market has responded favorably to this systematic, data-driven approach. Refined Energy's shares have appreciated by nearly ten percent over the past month, closing at €0.40 in Wednesday's session. This price level maintains the equity's position significantly above its 200-day moving average.

The current exploration program is being conducted under an option agreement with Eagle Plains Resources. By executing the drilling and associated investment, Refined Energy is progressively earning the right to acquire up to a 75% interest in the expansive 10,140-hectare project area. The logical next phase of the campaign will involve analyzing core samples extracted from the newly refined target zones.

Integrating Data for Precision Targeting

The foundation for this strategic adjustment was laid by MWH Geo-Surveys, which recently completed an extensive ground survey covering 530 hectares. Technicians gathered readings from 817 systematically positioned stations. Refined Energy's geological team promptly integrated this fresh gravity data with existing electromagnetic survey results.

The synthesis of these datasets has yielded significant insights. A particularly compelling anomaly has been identified at the intersection of an electromagnetic conductor and a zone exhibiting notably low gravitational density. Geoscientists interpret this feature as a cross-cutting N70 fault structure. In the geological context of the Athabasca Basin, such specific structural settings are recognized as classic indicators for potential mineralization.

Drill Program Receives Immediate Update

These new interpretations are being directly applied to the company's active $1.7 million drill program. While the first borehole was primarily located based on older datasets, the team has already repositioned the second hole precisely 100 meters to the south. This location is intended to test the newly mapped structural intersection directly. Furthermore, the exact placement for the third planned drill hole will now also be guided by the updated geophysical model.
