Refined Energy Completes Initial Drilling, Awaits Lab Analysis

Refined Energy Corp. finishes initial drilling at its Dufferin-West uranium project in Saskatchewan's Athabasca Basin, intersecting key geological targets. Assay results will guide next exploration phase.

The first phase of drilling at the Dufferin-West uranium project in Saskatchewan's Athabasca Basin has been concluded by Refined Energy Corp. The company has now shifted its focus to the laboratory, where analysis of the retrieved core samples will determine if promising geological indicators point toward substantial uranium mineralization.

Geological Observations from the Drill Program

During the campaign, the company successfully intersected its primary geological targets. Drill hole DW26-001 reached the targeted graphitic conductor at a depth of 381 meters. Furthermore, the unconformity—a critical geological boundary layer known for hosting high-grade uranium deposits throughout the Athabasca Basin—was encountered at 332 meters. The presence of brecciation, which can signal past hydrothermal fluid movement, was also noted in this hole.

A second hole, DW26-003, also intersected the unconformity. Refined Energy adapted its drilling strategy as the program progressed to ensure coverage of the highest-priority targets identified through gravimetric surveys.

All core logging and sampling from the initial program are now finished. The samples have been dispatched to an accredited laboratory for comprehensive geochemical assay.

Strategic Context and Forward Plan

The Dufferin project encompasses a significant land package of 10,140 hectares. Refined Energy holds an exclusive option to acquire up to a 75% interest in the property from Eagle Plains Resources.

Mark Fields, the company's Chief Executive Officer, emphasized the importance of the pending assay results. The initial data, he noted, will be critical for identifying vectors that point toward uranium mineralization. This analysis will directly inform the next stages of exploration and development planning for the Dufferin-West project. The investment community now awaits the laboratory findings, which will provide the foundation for the company's subsequent strategic decisions.
