The electric vehicle manufacturer Polestar has detailed its latest moves in the North America region, announcing specific pricing for its Polestar 4 model in Canada. This development comes just ahead of a scheduled strategic update from the company's management, which is expected to outline a clearer roadmap toward profitability.

In a move to capture a wider segment of the premium EV market, Polestar has confirmed the Canadian pricing for two variants of the Polestar 4. The Long Range Single Motor version will start at 64,900 CAD, with the Long Range Dual Motor Pilot trim priced at 69,900 CAD.

This pricing structure effectively fills a gap in the company's Canadian lineup. The Polestar 2 is no longer available as a new vehicle in the market, while the luxury Polestar 3 SUV occupies a significantly higher price bracket, ranging from 93,200 CAD to 107,200 CAD. The newly announced figures are designed to make the brand accessible to a broader range of premium EV consumers.

These commercial initiatives are supported by a recent financial infusion. Earlier this month, Polestar secured approximately 400 million USD through a private placement of shares, priced at 19.34 USD per share.

Financial institutions including Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and Standard Chartered Bank participated in this funding round. The newly acquired capital is intended to support the ongoing rollout of new vehicle models and underpin general operational activities.
