A dramatic corporate overhaul appears to be paying off for Pierer Mobility AG, with the company reporting a doubling of its sales volume at the start of the 2026 financial year. The market responded positively to the news on Friday, pushing the share price up by nearly four percent to €15.92.

Strategic Refocus and Financial Restructuring Bear Fruit

The firm, which recently rebranded from Bajaj Mobility, is showing clear signs of emerging from its most challenging period. A crucial move in its recovery was the reduction of inventory by more than 100,000 vehicles. This decisive action freed up a significant amount of working capital and paved the way for a strategic reset.

The company's reported net income of €590 million for 2025 was substantially bolstered by a one-time special effect. A restructuring gain of almost €1.2 billion, stemming from creditor debt forgiveness, served to stabilize the balance sheet. Consequently, the equity ratio climbed to 24.3 percent at the reporting date.

The operational turnaround had already begun gaining traction in the second half of 2025, when sales showed a 60 percent increase compared to the first six months of the year.

New Financing and Core Business Emphasis

A cornerstone of the revitalized strategy is a new financing framework. An international banking consortium led by J.P. Morgan and HSBC has provided an unsecured credit line worth €550 million. This facility replaces more expensive liabilities previously held with Bajaj and is expected to meaningfully reduce the interest burden.

Under the leadership of CEO Gottfried Neumeister, management is now executing a sharpened focus on its high-margin core motorcycle business. Non-core segments, including the bicycle division and the KTM X-Bow sports car operation, have been systematically divested or discontinued.

Looking ahead, Pierer Mobility has planned an extensive model offensive for the remainder of 2026. This includes the launch of the new KTM 990 RC R and updates to the Super Adventure series. Furthermore, the extension of the warranty period to four years is intended to strengthen customer loyalty in the premium segment.

Pierer Mobility at a turning point? This analysis reveals what investors need to know now.

Despite the recent share price recovery, the stock remains moderately valued, trading approximately 29 percent below its 52-week high of €22.35. This valuation hinges on the new production structure delivering its planned profitability as anticipated.
